Acerca Irene Torres de Cantisano

In 1996, together with Fernando Cantisano, she founded the firm Catojisa (Cantisano, Torres & Jimenéz, S.A.), where she had the vision of creating an outsourcing company in the areas of Accounting, Payroll, Payments, Taxes, Human Resources, among other services for companies in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, achieving the positioning of Catojisa in the market, thus acquiring important local and international clients.


She has been the forerunner in the process of turning a small family business into an institutional company, actively developing the diversity of personalized services that impact different areas, transforming Catojisa into a one-stop shop for its clients, establishing important alliances with multinational companies with presence in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America.


She plays an active role in the continuous growth and restructuring process required by the company to continue the expansion of its service offering. She has led digital innovation projects, including the development of two important technological platforms.  She continues in the constant search for alternatives that can help the company to provide a cutting-edge and high-quality service to its customers, continuously monitoring the development of the business, ensuring the relationships with its customers, strategic partners and in the creation of new lines and business alliances, to ensure the future, growth and sustainability of the organization, its employees, and its customers.

She studied at the University of Puerto Rico, specializing in various business programs at Barna Business School (Santo Domingo), IESE (Spain) and Ipade (Mexico City). She is currently part of the local board, and this is her second year leading the membership chair of the Entrepeneurship Organization (EO) throughout Latin America including Central America and the Caribbean.
